day 7

6 mei 2017 - Altea, Spanje

Hi everyone,

Should I make this day sound more interesting or shall I tell the truth? The truth it is. Today was very boring. I went to the hospital this morning but it closed at 13:00 already because it's saturday, so I only spent 2 and a half hours over there. There wasn't anything special, just a cat with a bruised leg, two labradors covered in fleas and a small dog with a lot of little warts (which turned out to be nothing special). When I got home again, I went to this shop called Ale-Hop to look for a typically spanish straw hat, however they were way too big for my tiny head. So walked back to my house and since then I've been sitting here doing some random stuff.

So, this is a nice opportunity to talk about the house I'm staying in. This house is on the 3th floor of the apartment building. I have one bedroom for myself and I share the living room, kitchen and bathroom with the other persons staying in this house. The real owners of the house don't live here, however they do come here almost every day to clean. The owners of the house (maria jose and paco) are very clever. All the people renting a room have their own set of keys (4 in total, one fore the door of the building, one for the gate in front of the front door of this house, one for the front door and one for their bedroom). On each key there is a sticker with a smiley in four different colours. The one with the yellow smiley, is the key that belongs to the door with the yellow smiley (in this case the front door of the house). My bedroom door has a pink smiley and there is a big letter ñ on it. There is a shelf in the bathroom with the exact same ñ on it, which means that the stuff on that shelf are mine. Also I have 2 kitchen cabinets and a shelf in the refrigerator.

There are 3 other bedrooms that are being rented right now by (I believe there are 4 other people, one couple that moved in yesterday, one girl from France and a guy from Canada). Most of the residents completely ignore me and eachother. Except for this guy from Canada (I couldn't remember his name so I've been calling him George for the last couple of days:) ), he is the only one that I could have real conversations with. Too bad that he left today... He was very nice and a little bit chaotic, he also told me that he had ADHD which explained a lot. He left this morning and the room is already in use again by a woman (I think she's in her 30's or something). She just came into the house and is now settling in.

While I was typing that, she came to me and introduced herself. She is also from The Netherlands (yay :) ) and she seems like a very nice person!

I will be watching Legend Of The Blue Sea for the rest of this evening. My plan this morning was for me to stay in the house all afternoon (to avoid the sun) and go out when it has started to cool down, however I feel very tired and I want to give my feet some rest (I have 4 blisters...)

I hope I feel a bit less down tomorrow because my plan is to go to Terra Mitica. That's a big theme park in Benidorm with lots of cool rollercoasters :). Right now, I don't feel like going there tomorrow because I have to go there all alone and that's pretty boring, but I do love theme parks so maybe I will be going to enjoy it... We'll see.

Por adelantado, buenas noches y dulces sueños

You just go to Terra Mitica! Just enjoy it even if you have to go alone. It's not that bad. It's even great because you can do whatever you want! I know for sure that it's worth it when you are sitting in a rollercoaster
Enjoy your time in Spain! And don't forget your sunblock
