day 9

8 mei 2017 - Altea, Spanje

Hola buenas tardes,

My dutch housemate left this morning :( She said to me before she left: "I don't think we"ll see eachother again, but maybe I'll see your name in the newspapers after you won a Nobel price or someting." Which was quite funny because I hope I end up in the newspaper in October after the World Championships. I told her that and we had this very long conversation about it and then I was almost late for work. Pilar and William weren't there this morning because they had to go to the hospital for William's check-up, however there was this "new" guy helping us out. Apparently, he comes there every month and stays for a whole week to learn from Pilar (she is the best dermatologist in the area of Alicante). He was very kind but his English was not that good.

Today I've witnessed Luna cleaning a dog's teeth. That was very interesting and she explained every action to me. She said things like: "It's not necessary for me to put pressure, because the machine-thingy (we didn't know the English or Dutch term) has enough power to break off the plague." Some parts of the plague were too strong, so she had to break them off with a pair of thongs.

After that, A big Spanish Waterdog came in. She was beautiful and unique and she felt very fluffy. In my opinion, she was the perfect type of dog for the owner. He had a darker skincolour with long black dreadlocks and he looked a lot like a surfer to me.

After I was done working, my plan was to go to the tram station, go to Albir and have diner at the Mc Donalds. When I was almost at the tram station, I saw the tram leaving already and they drive only once every hour. So on my way back to the house I did some groceries because I was almost out of food. My diner eventually consisted out of rice, apple mouse and Doritos (as a replacement for prawn crackers).

I have literally no idea what I'm going to do tomorrow, so I can not give you any hints yet..

See you tomorrow!
