Day 2

6 juli 2018 - Tokio, Japan

Hi there!

First of all I want to add something to my previous blog. At around 3/4 of the flight, the stewardess came and gave us more free food. And guess what it was. I had ice cream FOR FREE! And it was delicious :). Also we got a free breakfast, but this wasn't amusing anymore.

During the complete 11 hours of our flight, I did not sleep one single minute. Which means that I am practically dead right now. At this moment it's 15:39 and this means that I haven't had any sleep for the past 26 hours and counting. My dad and me arrived in Tokyo somewhere this morning and we had to ride the bus for another one and a half hours to get to our hotel, BUT it was raining very bad so almost every inhabitant of Tokyo decided to go to work with the car, which lead to a trafic jam. Our bustrip laster half an hour longer than it should have, so that was not so great.

Despite the fact that it was raining, it was very warm outside. We had to walk around in Tokyo for 3 hours before we could check in our hotel, so we went to the train station. We thought this was a good idea, because most of the time there are a lot of restaurants and shops near trainstations, however it was not what we expected. We ended up eating lunch at 14:00 and than we went back to our hotel to chill in the lobby.

Soon, we had almost fallen asleep so we decided to go do something again. We wanted to get a souvernier for mom, but we did not succeed (yet). We started walking in the oposite direction as the trainstation, which we should have done sooner. This part of the city was waayyy more interesting and I was able to take some very nice pictures, wich I will add later today, or tomorrow, or next week idk.

Anyways, when we were done taking pictures, we wanted to walk back to our hotel to checked in. As we were walking down the street, we bumped into this old Japanese couple and they started talking to us. The man asked us where we came from, and when he heard the word "Holland" he imediately screamed in Dutch "VOETBAL!" and I thought it was pretty funny :).  We had a small conversation about what we were doing in Japan and which places he recommended us to go visit. When we finally said our goodbyes, we went back to our hotel.

The first thing I did when I got into the room was go to the bathroom. (Yes you are very welcome for that information, but that's not the point) THE POINT IS: the seat was pre-heated for us! hahaha I have never felt this comfortable in my life :)

Anyways, I will now go take a bath and change my clothes, and then my dad and I are going to look for a Mc Donalds.

I will talk to you again tomorrow, if I can!

Bye Bye!
